You may be thinking who would pay for such a service and would it even work?! I can’t promise that it will work but I can tell you
that I know someone who does do this business and she is doing rather well with it too.
This business is just as it sounds, they drop off their laundry, and you wash, dry, fold and iron their clothes. They should supply
you with the laundry detergent and fabric softener of their choice and hangers for anything you will need to put on a hanger rather
than fold.
You can start this business by posting flyers around you neighborhood, at daycares, the local grocery mart and the like. I for one can
tell you I would love a service just as this if it were reasonably priced. If you were to do just a few loads of wash a day, this
could easily add up!
You can also add a twist to this business and pick up any dry cleaning your customers may need so they only need to make one trip
to your home.
Positive: This can be done while you are at home. You will have to keep track of how much your water and electric bills go up so you
can factor that into the fee you charge your customers.
Negative: It may take some time to get regular customers but word of mouth goes a long way. Be sure to drop off some flyers at the
local corporate offices where you know they work full time and may not have time to do their own laundry - perfect for you!
